The history of Maison Deutz
In 1838, William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, two merchants from Aachen, founded their house in Aÿ, one of the most renowned villages in Champagne for Pinot Noir. Over the generations, the house has stood out for the precision of its blends and the quality of its Grand and Premier Cru sourcing. Since 1993, Deutz has belonged to the family-owned Louis Roederer group, which has raised its quality standards while preserving its style.
The Deutz style
Deutz champagnes are recognisable by their balance: the structure of Pinot Noir from Aÿ, the finesse of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and a touch of Meunier. Dosages remain moderate and the wines age for a long time in the cellar before release. The result is an elegant, fresh and generous style, appreciated by enthusiasts and sommeliers alike.

- Brut Classic: the house's emblematic cuvée, fresh and balanced, from magnum to Mathusalem.
- Brut Rosé and Rosé Millésimé: blended rosés, fruity and delicate, based on Pinot Noir from Aÿ.

- Blanc de Blancs: 100% Chardonnay, taut and luminous.
- Hommage à William Deutz: Pinot Noir from plots in Aÿ, Meurtet and La Côte Glacière, vinified separately to express their terroir.
