Persan, an old grape native to Savoie and once also grown in the Isère, produces deeply coloured, fresh and spicy wines that age well.

Tasting notes

Serving and storage

Serve between 16 and 17 °C. After a few years in bottle, simply airing it for an hour in a decanter is enough to reveal it. Store the bottle lying down, away from light, at around 12 to 14 °C.

Food pairing

A Savoyard red wine fondue, game, roast chicken or mountain cheeses.

An ancient red grape native to Savoie that almost disappeared in the 20th century before being replanted by a handful of passionate winemakers. It produces deeply coloured wines with lively acidity and firm tannins, suited to ageing.

Who is Yves Cuilleron?

A winemaker from Chavanay, in the heart of the northern Rhône, who took over the family estate in 1987. He produces highly regarded wines in Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph, Cornas and Crozes-Hermitage.
