Frequently Asked Questions

Our alcoholic beverages

How to choose between wine, champagne, spirits, liqueur or chartreuse?

It all depends on the occasion (and the desire!).

Red wine: ideal with a good meal.

Champagne: perfect for celebrations.

Spirits (whisky, rum, gin…): for lovers of character.

Liqueurs & chartreuses: sweet or herbaceous digestifs to be savored slowly.

Are your products exclusively of French origin?

No, our cellar is open to the world! Although we favour French gems, we also select treasures from elsewhere.

What is the difference between a liqueur and a chartreuse?

Chartreuse is a herbal liqueur made by Carthusian monks according to a secret recipe. It is a liqueur , but not all liqueurs are Chartreuse.

Are your products handcrafted or industrially produced?

Our priority is quality. We select passionate producers, often independent, who favour artisanal methods or those respectful of traditional know-how.

Can your spirits be drunk young or do they need to be aged?

Wines can often be enjoyed young, except for certain grand cru wines.

The champagnes are ready to drink.

The spirits are aged in casks before bottling, so they are ready to be enjoyed.

Liqueurs and chartreuses sometimes gain in complexity over time, but are excellent right from the start.

Are your alcoholic beverages meant to be enjoyed neat or in cocktails?

Both! Some are best enjoyed neat, like a good rum or an old Chartreuse.

Others are very well suited to cocktails, such as gin, fruit liqueurs or champagne.
