More concentrated and deeper than the estate's classic Côte-Rôtie, it embodies hillside Syrah at its noblest. A wine for the cellar, ideal as a gift or to tuck away and forget for a while.

Serving and storage

Serve between 16 and 18 °C, after one to two hours in a decanter if young. Laid down in a cellar, away from light and at around 12 to 14 °C, it can develop for many years.

Who is Pierre Gaillard?

A winemaker based in Malleval, in the northern Rhône, who founded his estate in the early 1980s by replanting terraced slopes. He is renowned for his Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph and Condrieu, and the family also farms vines in Languedoc and Roussillon.
