Drappier Millésime Exception 2016 Jéroboam is the vintage champagne of Maison Drappier, presented in a rare 3-litre jeroboam, capturing the character of the 2016 vintage.
Millésime Exception is made only in years when the growing season is judged remarkable: each bottle is the memory of a year. It is presented in a moulded bottle inspired by the house's old flasks. For 2016, the blend is based on a large majority of Pinot Noir, completed by Chardonnay, with part of the wines aged in oak, which brings a creamy texture and a touch of vanilla. The jeroboam holds 3 litres, the equivalent of four bottles. Like all large formats, it ages the wine more slowly thanks to a lower ratio of air to wine, and it always makes an occasion of the moment it is served.
