Ardbeg 25 Years Old is the oldest expression in the distillery's permanent range, the ultimate expression of Islay's peated style at its peak of complexity and refinement.

Matured for a quarter of a century in carefully selected bourbon casks, it reveals rare aromatic depth and a peat softened by time, balancing smoke, vanilla sweetness and oaky elegance.

Key facts

  • Origin: Scotland, Islay
  • Distillery: Ardbeg
  • Age: 25 years old
  • Size: 70 cl
  • ABV: 46%

Tasting notes

Soft ash, crème brûlée, lemon zest, dark chocolate, dried herbs and woody spice; a long, complex, slightly saline finish.

A rare masterpiece of aged peat for demanding enthusiasts and collectors.

Tasting Ardbeg 25 Years Old

Enjoy it neat, at room temperature, in a tulip glass. A few drops of water reveal crème brûlée and citrus beneath the smoke. Once opened, keep the bottle upright, tightly closed, away from light and heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to choose between wine, champagne, spirits, liqueur or chartreuse?

It all depends on the occasion (and what you feel like!).

  • Wine: to go with a good meal.
  • Champagne: for aperitifs and celebrations.
  • Spirits: to sip slowly, for lovers of character.
  • Liqueurs and Chartreuse: as a digestif, neat or on ice.

Are your products exclusively of French origin?

No, our cellar is open to the world! Although we favour French gems, we also select treasures from elsewhere.

What is the difference between a liqueur and a chartreuse?

Chartreuse is a herbal liqueur made by Carthusian monks according to a secret recipe. It is a liqueur , but not all liqueurs are Chartreuse.

Which products do you select?

We select great houses and renowned estates: iconic cuvées, vintages and limited editions.

At what temperature should you serve your alcoholic beverages?

Red wines: 15 to 17 °C

Champagnes: 8 to 10 °C, and 10 to 12 °C for great vintages

Spirits: room temperature

Liqueurs and Chartreuse: chilled or on ice
