William Deutz 2014 is the historic prestige cuvée of Maison Deutz: a champagne led by Grand Cru Pinot Noir, aged for around ten years in the cellar.

Launched in 1959 as a tribute to the founder, the William Deutz cuvée is the house's top-of-the-range emblem, renowned for its structured style. It blends mainly Grand Cru Pinot Noir, notably from Aÿ, Bouzy and Verzenay, with Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and a small share of Meunier, then ages for around ten years in the house's historic cellars. The 2014 vintage blends 67% Pinot Noir, 28% Chardonnay and 5% Meunier, with a dosage of 7 g/L. Cellar master Caroline Latrive describes it as a gesture of virtuosity, a wine for connoisseurs and fine dining that time elevates.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to choose between wine, champagne, spirits, liqueur or chartreuse?

It all depends on the occasion (and what you feel like!).

  • Wine: to go with a good meal.
  • Champagne: for aperitifs and celebrations.
  • Spirits: to sip slowly, for lovers of character.

No, our cellar is open to the world! Although we favour French gems, we also select treasures from elsewhere.

What is the difference between a liqueur and a chartreuse?

Chartreuse is a herbal liqueur made by Carthusian monks according to a secret recipe. It is a liqueur , but not all liqueurs are Chartreuse.

We select great houses and renowned estates: iconic cuvées, vintages and limited editions.

At what temperature should you serve your alcoholic beverages?

Red wines: 15 to 17 °C

Champagnes: 8 to 10 °C, and 10 to 12 °C for great vintages
