Drappier Gift Box Brut Nature Immersion

Drappier Gift Box Brut Nature Immersion is a wooden gift box of two 75 cl bottles of 100% Pinot Noir Brut Nature: one aged under the sea, the other in the house's cellars, for a unique comparative tasting.

Both bottles share the same story during their early years: grapes mainly from the 2017 harvest, reserve wines from 2016 and 2015, and bottling in April 2018. On 4 October 2020, some of the bottles were submerged at a depth of about 31 metres, at the Ar Pommellou site, in the Drappier family's marine concession off the Côtes-d'Armor, in Brittany. They stayed there for 646 days, in water between 8 and 13 °C, where the outside pressure, about 4 bar, balances that of the bottle. The other bottle aged in the Urville cellars. Underwater, the wine evolves more slowly, as it is less exposed to oxygen than in open air. This gift box lets you taste side by side the effect of this underwater ageing on a zero-dosage champagne.

Serving and storage

Serve both bottles at the same temperature, around 7 °C, in identical glasses, and taste them side by side. Store the gift box flat, in a cool place away from light.
