Drappier Brut Nature Rosé is a 100% Pinot Noir saignée rosé champagne with zero dosage, which the house presents as the purest expression of rosé in Champagne.

The Pinot Noir grapes macerate for about two days to colour the juice naturally, following the saignée method dear to Drappier. Vinified by gravity, unfiltered, low in sulphur, then aged thirty-six months in bottle, this rosé receives no dosage liqueur. The result is a fresh, mineral and very clean champagne, in which the red fruit of Urville Pinot Noir shows itself unadorned. It is one of the house's certified organic cuvées.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference from Drappier's Rosé de Saignée?

Both are 100% Pinot Noir saignée rosés. The Rosé de Saignée receives a light Extra Brut dosage, while the Brut Nature Rosé receives none: it is tauter, more mineral and drier.

Who is Maison Drappier?

Founded in 1808 in Urville, in the Côte des Bar, Maison Drappier is a family house now run by Michel Drappier and his children. A recognised Pinot Noir specialist, it grows its vines on the Kimmeridgian limestone of the Aube and ages its wines in 12th-century Cistercian cellars.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to choose between wine, champagne, spirits, liqueur or chartreuse?

It all depends on the occasion (and what you feel like!).

  • Wine: to go with a good meal.
  • Champagne: for aperitifs and celebrations.
  • Spirits: to sip slowly, for lovers of character.
  • Liqueurs and Chartreuse: as a digestif, neat or on ice.

Are your products exclusively of French origin?

No, our cellar is open to the world! Although we favour French gems, we also select treasures from elsewhere.

What is the difference between a liqueur and a chartreuse?

Chartreuse is a herbal liqueur made by Carthusian monks according to a secret recipe. It is a liqueur , but not all liqueurs are Chartreuse.

Which products do you select?

We select great houses and renowned estates: iconic cuvées, vintages and limited editions.

At what temperature should you serve your alcoholic beverages?

Red wines: 15 to 17 °C

Champagnes: 8 to 10 °C, and 10 to 12 °C for great vintages

Spirits: room temperature

Liqueurs and Chartreuse: chilled or on ice
