Taittinger Nocturne Sec Rosé is the rosé version of the Nocturne, the celebration champagne of Maison Taittinger. A Sec rosé, generous and voluptuous, conceived for the end of the evening and lighter moments.
It blends 40% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 25% Meunier, with 11 to 14% still red wines added to the final blend. The grapes come notably from Verzenay, Hautvillers and Bouzy, as well as Les Riceys and Loches-sur-Ource in the Côte des Bar. After at least three years in the cellar, it receives a dosage of 17.5 g/L, which gives it a caressing roundness while preserving its freshness.

Serving and storage
Serve it well chilled, at around 8 °C, in a tulip flute or a white wine glass. The house gives it a cellaring potential of five years or more, but its fruit is at its most seductive in the early years. Store the bottle lying down, in a cool place away from light.
Food pairing
Vitalie Taittinger recommends it with a strawberry tart, and, more surprisingly, with salmon. Try it too with a red fruit pavlova, a raspberry charlotte or sweet and savoury cooking with Asian notes.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Nocturne Rosé and the Prestige Rosé?
Both are blended rosés led by Pinot Noir. The Prestige Rosé is a brut, dosed between 7 and 9 g/L, while the Nocturne Rosé is a Sec dosed at 17.5 g/L, rounder and more generous, ideal with dessert.
Who is Maison Taittinger?
The origins of the house go back to 1734 and the merchant house Forest-Fourneaux, taken over in 1932 by Pierre Taittinger, who gave it his name. Still family-owned and independent, it is led today by Vitalie Taittinger. Its style rests on the generous place given to Chardonnay, a guarantee of finesse and freshness, and its wines age in the Gallo-Roman chalk cellars of Saint-Nicaise, in Reims.
