Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Grand Cru Rosé 2013, gift box is the rosé version of the prestige cuvée of Maison Taittinger, a vintage rosé made exclusively from Grands Crus. This cuvée is sold only in its Taittinger gift box: the bottle is not available on its own.
The blend brings together 60% Pinot Noir from the Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims and 40% Chardonnay from the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs. 13% Grands Crus red wines, from Pinot Noir vinified as red wine in Bouzy, give it its colour and its structure. The wine ages nearly twelve years in the historic chalk cellars of Saint-Nicaise, in Reims, then receives a dosage of 9 g/L.
According to the house, the 2013 vintage came from a year with a particularly late and very cool growing cycle, which is reflected in the liveliness of this great rosé built to age.

Serving and storage
Serve it at around 10 to 12 °C, in a large wine glass, and let it warm slightly to reveal its spicy notes. The house gives it a cellaring potential of twelve years and more. Store it lying down, in a cool, stable cellar, away from light.
Food pairing
It goes with fine, balanced dishes, from the sea as well as from the land: vegetable starters, langoustines, pigeon or roast lamb, through to red fruit desserts.

Frequently asked questions
Is this champagne sold without the gift box?
No. This bottle of Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2013 is offered only in its gift box, which makes it a present ready to give.
Can it be kept in the cellar?
Yes. After nearly twelve years in the chalk cellars, it is ready to drink, but the house still credits it with a potential of twelve years and more. Over time, it gains notes of spice, tobacco and leather.
Who is Maison Taittinger?
The origins of the house go back to 1734 and the merchant house Forest-Fourneaux, taken over in 1932 by Pierre Taittinger, who gave it his name. Still family-owned and independent, it is led today by Vitalie Taittinger. Its style rests on the generous place given to Chardonnay, a guarantee of finesse and freshness, and its wines age in the Gallo-Roman chalk cellars of Saint-Nicaise, in Reims.
How is the gift box shipped?
Delivery is free in France for orders from €300. Every gift box is carefully packed and sent with tracking.
