Côtes du Rhône Réserve White Jeroboam, Famille Perrin is the house's blended white in Côtes du Rhône, in jeroboam, a fresh, floral wine of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.
The vineyard for the white Réserve is planted on alluvial soils between the Aigues and the Ouvèze rivers, in the Vaucluse, around Cairanne and Jonquières. The soils are recent limestone-based alluvium, stony clay and limestone, with variations left by the old courses of the rivers. These are cool, light soils that give taut whites rather than broad ones.
Famille Perrin is based at Château de Beaucastel, in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the family has worked for several generations. A pioneer of organic and then biodynamic growing, it belongs to Primum Familiae Vini, the circle of the world's leading wine families. Over the years it has extended its work to the other appellations of the southern Rhône, each cuvée coming from identified plots that are vinified separately.

Serving and cellaring
Serve it between 10 and 12 °C. A jeroboam develops even more slowly than a magnum, so allow four to five years. Keep it lying down, at a steady temperature and away from light.
Food pairings
Grilled fish, bouillabaisse, and more broadly dishes seasoned with saffron. It also works very well with a tapenade, grilled vegetables or a fresh goat cheese.

Frequently asked questions
Which grapes go into the white Réserve?
The blend brings together Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier. Grenache Blanc gives the body, Marsanne and Roussanne the roundness, Viognier the floral note and the apricot.
Why is there no barrel ageing?
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling. The choice is deliberate: it preserves the freshness, the citrus and the minerality, where wood would have added weight and toasted notes.
Why choose a jeroboam?
A Côtes du Rhône jeroboam holds 300 cl, the equivalent of four bottles. The larger the volume, the slower the wine develops, and the format makes an impression on a long table. Plan for a cradle or a bucket, because a bottle that size is poured with two hands.
How is the bottle shipped?
Shipping within France is free on orders over 300 EUR. Every bottle is carefully packed and sent with tracked delivery.
