Taittinger Demi-Sec is the demi-sec version of the Taittinger style: a sweeter champagne, made for dessert, which keeps the liveliness and elegance that Chardonnay brings.
It uses the blend of the Brut Réserve, 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Meunier, drawn from around forty crus and several harvests. After three years in the cellar, the wine receives a dosage of 35 g/L. This generous sweetness is balanced by a fine acidity, which keeps the whole fresh and easy to drink, far from any heaviness.

Food pairing
The house's suggestions are indulgent: chocolate cake, strawberry charlotte, warm madeleines. It also goes with a lemon meringue tart, brioche French toast, lightly cooked foie gras or a mild blue cheese.

Frequently asked questions
What is a demi-sec champagne?
It is a champagne whose dosage liqueur, added after disgorgement, brings a clearly noticeable sweetness, between 32 and 50 g/L. It sits between sec and doux and pairs ideally with desserts and some sweet and savoury starters.
Who is Maison Taittinger?
The origins of the house go back to 1734 and the merchant house Forest-Fourneaux, taken over in 1932 by Pierre Taittinger, who gave it his name. Still family-owned and independent, it is led today by Vitalie Taittinger. Its style rests on the generous place given to Chardonnay, a guarantee of finesse and freshness, and its wines age in the Gallo-Roman chalk cellars of Saint-Nicaise, in Reims.
