Drappier Quattuor, Blanc de Quatre Blancs is a Blanc de Blancs unique in Champagne, blended in equal parts from four white grape varieties, three of which are old varieties that have become very rare.

Quattuor means four in Latin. Here Maison Drappier brings together Arbane, Petit Meslier, Blanc Vrai (Pinot Blanc) and Chardonnay, each making up a quarter of the blend. These forgotten varieties, which the family preserves on its Urville plots, bring a unique aromatic profile. From certified organic viticulture and aged thirty-six months in bottle, this mineral, finely sculpted champagne is a true connoisseur's curiosity.

Key facts

  • Origin: France, Champagne, Côte des Bar, Urville
  • Producer: Champagne Drappier
  • Grapes: Arbane 25%, Petit Meslier 25%, Blanc Vrai 25%, Chardonnay 25%
  • Dosage: 4.2 g/L
  • Viticulture: certified organic
  • Size: 75 cl

Tasting notes

  • Colour: Pale, brilliant gold
  • Nose: Fresh grape and citrus, then honeyed apple, fig jam and a bouquet of white flowers
  • Palate: Lively and very fresh, mineral and finely sculpted, very long finish

Serving and storage

Serve it at around 7 °C, in a white wine glass. It keeps for several years in the cellar and then gains honeyed notes. Store the bottle lying down, in a cool place away from light.

Food pairing

As an aperitif, with a spring vegetable tartlet, grilled sea bream, veal carpaccio with white truffle or seared scallops.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to choose between wine, champagne, spirits, liqueur or chartreuse?

It all depends on the occasion (and what you feel like!).

  • Wine: to go with a good meal.
  • Champagne: for aperitifs and celebrations.
  • Spirits: to sip slowly, for lovers of character.
  • Liqueurs and Chartreuse: as a digestif, neat or on ice.

Are your products exclusively of French origin?

No, our cellar is open to the world! Although we favour French gems, we also select treasures from elsewhere.

What is the difference between a liqueur and a chartreuse?

Chartreuse is a herbal liqueur made by Carthusian monks according to a secret recipe. It is a liqueur , but not all liqueurs are Chartreuse.

Which products do you select?

We select great houses and renowned estates: iconic cuvées, vintages and limited editions.

At what temperature should you serve your alcoholic beverages?

Red wines: 15 to 17 °C

Champagnes: 8 to 10 °C, and 10 to 12 °C for great vintages

Spirits: room temperature

Liqueurs and Chartreuse: chilled or on ice
