Gosset Grande Réserve Brut is the benchmark cuvée of Gosset, founded in Aÿ in 1584, the oldest wine house in Champagne.

A blend of the three Champagne grapes enriched with reserve wines, it is made without malolactic fermentation, which gives it freshness, tension and good ageing potential.

Key facts

  • House: Gosset
  • Style: Non-vintage brut
  • Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier
  • Size: 75 cl
  • ABV: 12 to 12.5%

Tasting notes

Serving and storage

Serve it between 8 and 10 °C, in a white wine glass or a tulip flute. Put the bottle in the fridge three hours beforehand, or for twenty minutes in a bucket of water and ice. Lying down, away from light and in a cool place, it keeps for a few years.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Gosset avoid malolactic fermentation?

To preserve the natural acidity and freshness of the wines. It is a house signature that gives taut champagnes built for ageing.

What does "non-vintage" mean?

A non-vintage champagne blends wines from several harvests, including reserve wines. This lets each house keep a consistent style from one year to the next.

What should I serve it with?

Versatile, this brut is perfect with aperitifs and gougères, as well as fine fish, shellfish or roast poultry. Serve at 8 to 10 °C.

How is the bottle shipped?

Delivery is free in France for orders from €300. Every bottle is carefully packed and sent with tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to choose between wine, champagne, spirits, liqueur or chartreuse?

It all depends on the occasion (and what you feel like!).

  • Wine: to go with a good meal.
  • Champagne: for aperitifs and celebrations.
  • Spirits: to sip slowly, for lovers of character.
  • Liqueurs and Chartreuse: as a digestif, neat or on ice.

Are your products exclusively of French origin?

No, our cellar is open to the world! Although we favour French gems, we also select treasures from elsewhere.

What is the difference between a liqueur and a chartreuse?

Chartreuse is a herbal liqueur made by Carthusian monks according to a secret recipe. It is a liqueur , but not all liqueurs are Chartreuse.

Which products do you select?

We select great houses and renowned estates: iconic cuvées, vintages and limited editions.

At what temperature should you serve your alcoholic beverages?

Red wines: 15 to 17 °C

Champagnes: 8 to 10 °C, and 10 to 12 °C for great vintages

Spirits: room temperature

Liqueurs and Chartreuse: chilled or on ice
