Deutz Blanc de Blancs 2020 is the vintage Blanc de Blancs of Maison Deutz, 100% Grand and Premier Cru Chardonnay, of great purity.
This cuvée expresses the great Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs, notably from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Chouilly, complemented in some years by Premiers Crus such as Vertus or Trépail. The wines are vinified with precision to preserve the freshness and minerality of the grape, then the vintage ages for around five years in the house's chalk cellars before disgorgement. Cellar master Caroline Latrive describes the style of the cuvée as a subtle mineral backbone of great purity. A champagne all about tension and elegance, which shines at the table as well as with an aperitif.

Serving and storage
Serve it at around 8 to 10 °C in a white wine glass. It can be enjoyed now or kept for several years to develop more brioche-like notes. Store the bottle lying down, in a cool place away from light.
Food pairing
For this cuvée the house suggests a scallop ceviche with citrus, or sea bass or turbot roasted with beurre blanc. It also goes with oysters, sushi or an aged goat's cheese.
