Côte-Rôtie La Landonne 2023 is Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin's single-plot cuvée from La Landonne, one of the most famous lieux-dits of the Côte Brune.
On this south-facing slope of dark schist, Syrah yields a mineral, powerful and elegant wine built for long ageing. A rare bottle, produced in very small quantities.

Tasting notes
- Colour: Intense blackish red
- Nose: Black fruit, violet, pepper, graphite, smoky notes
- Palate: Powerful and mineral, dense yet fine tannins, very long finish
Serving and storage
Serve between 16 and 18 °C. When young, it benefits from two hours in a decanter, but ideally it should be given several years in the cellar. Laid down, away from light and at around 12 to 14 °C, it can develop for many years.
Food pairing
Furred game, a dry-aged rib of beef, lièvre à la royale or a well-aged cheese.

It is one of the most renowned lieux-dits of the Côte Brune, north of Ampuis. Its very steep schist slopes produce Syrah of great depth, prized by enthusiasts and collectors.
Who is Jean-Michel Gerin?
A winemaker from Ampuis, in the heart of Côte-Rôtie, from a family of winegrowers long established in the appellation. He founded his estate in the 1980s and makes highly regarded Côte-Rôtie, including Champin le Seigneur, Les Grandes Places and La Landonne.
