Frequently asked questions about Pétrus

Why does Pétrus have no official classification?

The Pomerol appellation has never had an official classification, unlike the Médoc or Saint-Émilion. Pétrus built its reputation solely on the quality of its wine and the rarity of its production.

How should I store and serve a Pétrus?

Store it lying down, in a cool, dark cellar at around 12 to 14 °C. Serve it between 16 and 18 °C; a young vintage benefits from decanting one to two hours before serving.

Can you deliver Pétrus abroad?

Yes, we ship from France to Europe and many countries, with tracking. Delivery is free in mainland France for orders from €300.
